Indian startup funding jumps 260% in the first week of June
Indian startups raised a combined $187.4 million across 21 deals between June 1 and June 5, marking roughly a 260% jump from the $52 million recorded across 14 deals the previous week, according to weekly funding trackers. The rebound was led by sectors including quick commerce, enterprise technology, fintech and electric mobility, suggesting renewed investor appetite after a comparatively slow stretch earlier in the year. Industry watchers noted that capital is increasingly concentrating around what they describe as 'strategic infrastructure' — AI platforms, compute-heavy businesses, semiconductor-adjacent ventures, data systems and cybersecurity tooling — rather than being spread evenly across the broader startup landscape.
