What the age calculator shows
Enter a date of birth and get your exact age in years, months and days, along with the total number of months, weeks and days you have lived. It also shows how long remains until your next birthday. You can change the "as of" date to find out how old someone was, or will be, on a specific day.
How to use it
Select your date of birth, leave the comparison date as today or pick another date, and read the result. Everything is calculated in your browser, and the dates you enter are not stored.
How age is counted
Age in years increases on the birthday, not at the start of the calendar year. For months and days, the calculation borrows days from the previous month when the day of the month has not yet been reached. Leap years are handled by the calendar, so a birthday on 29 February is treated consistently.
